1. Information We Collect
When you create a Probe AI account, we collect your email address and, if you sign in via Google, your name and profile information provided by Google. We also collect:
- Research queries you submit, along with the results generated
- Usage data such as research depth selected, timestamps, and token usage
- Billing data including transaction history and credit balance (payment card details are handled entirely by Stripe and never stored on our servers)
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and improve the Probe AI research service
- Process payments and manage your credit balance
- Send transactional emails related to your account
- Monitor for abuse and ensure platform security
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate Probe AI:
- Supabase — Authentication and database hosting. Your account data and research history are stored in Supabase-managed PostgreSQL databases.
- Stripe — Payment processing. Stripe handles all payment card information. We never see or store your full card number.
- xAI — AI research processing. Your research queries are sent to xAI's API to generate research reports. Refer to xAI's privacy policy for their data handling practices.
- Vercel — Application hosting and deployment.
4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored in secure, encrypted databases managed by Supabase. We use Row Level Security (RLS) policies to ensure users can only access their own data. All connections use TLS encryption.
5. Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics cookies.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access all data we hold about you
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Export your research history
- Withdraw consent for data processing
7. Data Retention
We retain your research history and account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain it.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
